Santa Ana winds in effect today creating high air temperatures, but also helping clear the water up a bit. Some areas will be pretty murky in the shallows from all the churn we had yesterday but expect that to clear up nicely today

Mixed up swell filling in this morning with head high sets in some spots. This will cause some surge and churn, but deeper water is pretty clear if you can get into it

Swell is starting to increase, and will continue to do so over the weekend so today is the day to get after it. Morning conditions should be pretty good, slowly deteriorating as swell fills in

Finally, the water is clear again! Or clear enough to make for an enjoyable dive...red tide has moved off, expect around 10-15' in the shallows and 20-30 feet at depth. Time to get back out there!

Low viz near the surface, opening up to 15-20' viz around 25' of depth. Heavy thermocline dropping from 64F to 57F at the same depth

Not as murky as it has been but definitely not clear at the surface. Opens up to about 15' around 25' of depth....where the temp drops to 57 F

Algae bloom leftovers are still in place leaving the water fairly murky. There are some good spots...the further out to sea and the deeper you get, but most are in the 5-10' viz range. Wind and swell are on it early tomorrow as well

Water has definitely cooled off, and we are getting some reports of great conditions! Just keep in mind most of these great reports are at depth, the surface is still fairly murky in most parts.
